Anyy

Anyy is a resident, local-first personal assistant. It keeps sessions, memory, tasks, tools, Skills, automations, and messaging connections inside the selected Profile, then makes them available from Dashboard, the terminal, one-shot CLI commands, and connected Channels.

This manual describes v0.1.107. The Pi alignment reference explains the shared Pi v1.2.0 behavior and Anyy's product boundaries.

Install

Install the current native release on a supported macOS or Linux host:

curl -fsSL https://anyy.ai/install.sh | sh

Then choose a model and start the resident runtime:

anyy setup
anyy gateway start
anyy dashboard
Fastest path to a working assistant

Use the setup wizard for the first model instead of editing config.yaml. It shows only the providers and authentication methods implemented by the installed Anyy version.

See Installation for supported systems, root and non-root layouts, release pinning, and installer safeguards.

What Anyy is

Anyy is designed to remain available rather than exist only for one prompt. A Profile supplies the durable boundary: its own sessions, memory, Workspace, credentials, models, Channels, Roles, Skills, schedules, and runtime state.

Its canonical durable stores include <PROFILE_HOME>/state.db, memory/USER.md, memory/MEMORY.md, and the content-addressed objects/ store. Use anyy config to resolve the actual Profile Home.

Key capabilities

  • Persistent sessions and Profile-scoped memory across surfaces.
  • Multiple model providers, explicit main and auxiliary routes, and reasoning controls.
  • File and terminal tools that run directly with operating-system permissions, runtime limits, and credential protection.
  • Tasks, reminders, recurring automations, Heartbeat, and background work.
  • Reusable Roles, local-ZIP Skills, MCP servers, Codemode and selected toolsets.
  • Public web search, media understanding, image generation, and speech when configured.
  • Telegram, Discord, Slack, Weixin, WhatsApp, Facebook, Email, SMS, DingTalk, Feishu, QQ Bot, IRC, and LINE adapters.
  • Profile backup, restore, maintenance, diagnostics, and update workflows.
Capability follows configuration

An installed integration is not necessarily enabled. Provider credentials, tool backends, Channel accounts, and optional routes must be configured and healthy before Anyy can use them.
