Learning Path

You do not need to read the manual in order. Start with the outcome you want, follow one path, and return to Reference pages only when you need exact commands or environment behavior.

How to use this page

  1. Complete installation and one working model route.
  2. Pick the surface you will use most often.
  3. Read the feature page for the first real task you want Anyy to perform.
  4. Add Channels, optional tools, and unattended execution only after the basic flow is healthy.
Verify each layer before adding the next

Run anyy status after setup, send one ordinary chat message, and then configure integrations one at a time. This makes failures much easier to locate.

By experience level

New to Anyy

Read these pages in order:

  1. Installation
  2. Quickstart
  3. Dashboard Overview
  4. Dashboard Chat
  5. Security & Privacy

This path gets a model working, starts the resident Gateway, opens Dashboard, and explains tool access before you enable more capabilities.

Comfortable with assistants and CLIs

After Quickstart, choose:

Operating Anyy as a resident service

Read:

  1. Gateway
  2. Status & Doctor
  3. Backup & Restore
  4. Updating
  5. Maintenance
  6. Data & Privacy

By goal

Use Dashboard every day

Start with Dashboard Overview, then read Chat, Models, Profiles, and Tools. The remaining Dashboard pages are feature-specific controls.

Use Anyy from a messaging app

Read Messaging Platforms, open the page for your platform, configure one account, verify its health, and test access policy before inviting other users.

Work with files, terminal commands, and the web

Read Files & Terminal, Context References, Web Search, and Built-in Tools Reference.

Build repeatable workflows

Use Tasks for durable to-dos, Automations for scheduled work, Skills for reusable instructions, and MCP for external tool servers.

Let work continue independently

Read Background Jobs, Delegation, Heartbeat, and Notifications & Delivery.

Keep separate people or environments apart

Use Profiles for independent data and credentials. Use Roles only for different identities that intentionally share one Profile.

Use Codemode or discover more tools

Start with Codemode for Dashboard activation and an executable program, Tool search for deferred discovery, or Compaction for long conversations and branches. Provider protocols explains the model boundary.
